Dr. Seth Mehr is a 20-year veteran of emergency departments who transitioned to opening his own clinic to provide legal psychedelic therapy. Dr. Mehr is a truly stand-up guy who carries tremendous knowledge, professionalism, and care.
Evolved Mushrooms — High-potency, Organic Medicinal Tinctures, Sourced from Local Ingredients. Jonathan is a genius of mycology and herbalism. I’ve been utilizing his products for years and have seen the real benefits. His wide array of products support many different areas of vitality.
Dr. Gibran Ramos — Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist. Dr. Ramos is an incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, thoughtful, and astute medical provider. In my opinion, he is an exemplar of what a family doctor should be. He has a depth of knowledge, a kind demeanor, and truly wants the best for his patients.
Grounded Hearts Doula Services — Postpartum and Birth Doula Services. Heidi is a deeply wise, experienced, grounded, and caring individual who would be a stellar companion and guide to anyone undergoing the process of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.
MoveCo — Weekly Movement Class Focused on Building Strength, Mobility, Coordination, and Confidence. My friend Nico started these classes, which help people develop new degrees of mobility, proprioception, fluidity, and flexibility in a fun and unintimidating group setting.
Portland Integration Network — A Network of Professionals Offering Specialized Care for Psychedelic Education, Treatment, Harm Reduction, and Integration. This compendium of practitioners is the best place to search for individuals knowledgeable about therapeutic psychedelic work.
Waning Crescent Wellness — Craniosacral & Myofascial Therapy and Death Doula services. Kirstin is an incredibly skilled massage therapist. She also works as a death doula, which is a burgeoning field which serves to help individuals and their families navigate the dying process with dignity and reverence.
Nonprofits & Community Organizations
Fernhill Ecstatic Dance — Weekly Community-Driven Ecstatic Dance. Ecstatic dance is a form of improvised, onverbal dancing for catharsis. The Fernhill dance is a weekly dance event built within a nonjudgmental, community-forward container. No experience or “skill” needed to participate. Takes place in Fernhill park in the spring/summer, and indoors in the fall/winter.
The Haven — Interdisciplinary Art and Wellness Collective with Living Gallery, Elixir Bar, and Community Spaces. The Haven is a miraculous community-led visionary art gallery and practitioner space. It is a novel “third space” that’s the kind of thing you need to experience to believe it can exist.
Portland Psychedelic Society — Long-Standing 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Dedicated to Education and Community-Building Around Psychedelics. PPS offers comprehensive education around respectful and safe use of psychedelics, as well as community-building events and endeavors to help people “find the others.”
Working Class Acupuncture — Sliding Scale Acupuncture Center Featuring Treatment Appointments with No Time Limits. This is one business on this list where I don’t personally know the owners/operators; however, their unique model of finding a way to make acupuncture affordable is something I’d like to promote.
