Psychedelic Integration Coaching

We are living amidst a massive transformation in the realm of human psychology that is being mediated by psychedelics.

You’ve been hearing about the life-transforming effects of psychedelics from mainstream news sources, from internationally-respected universities, and from the conversations you’re having with friends and family.

You’ve heard about how psychedelics have been shown in peer-reviewed and university studies to ease anxiety, treat depression, end addiction and alcoholism, and even eliminate treatment resistant PTSD.

You’ve seen the evidence which shows that the majority of participants rate the psychedelic experience as among the 5 most meaningful experiences of their lives, up there with the birth of their children.

You may have tried various methods of addressing your own mental health, including pharmaceutical antidepressants and years of talk therapy.

And yet, it is still a constant struggle to maintain a semblance of equilibrium.

The truth is, we are on the cusp of a total cultural transformation in mental healthcare, and psychedelics are the catalyst.

“The most strongly enforced of all known taboos is the taboo against knowing who or what you really are behind the mask of your apparently separate, independent, and isolated ego.
—Alan Watts

Psychedelics have historically been used in communities for healing, exploring spirituality, pro-social connection, and celebrating transitions.

Today, people are utilizing them for these purposes as well, but we lack the culturally-vetted structures surrounding them, and so many people are not sure how to engage with these substances in the safest and most effective ways.

The most common mistake people make when working with psychedelic substances is lacking the ongoing support necessary for ongoing change.

Without proper integration work, many people will find difficulty in making the changes related to the intention they entered their psychedelic experience with.

Without proper integration, a return to your normal environment will often bring with it a return of the defenses and symptoms you turned to psychedelics to alleviate.

These substances are powerful and potentially psychologically harmful. Therefore, they must be treated with reverence, intention, and responsibility.

A difficult psychedelic experience that is left unresolved could result in the emergence of repressed traumatic memories.

Frequent use of psychedelics without integration can have an unbalancing effect that can end up hindering more than it helps.

Furthermore, proper integration begins before the experience is even undertaken.

In anticipation of a psychedelic experience, lack of proper preparation can cause undesired adverse effects (e.g. not knowing the full effects of the substance, not setting proper intentions, not entering the experience from a stable position).

Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and over to annihilation can that which is indestructible in us be found.
―Pema Chodron

Having a psychedelic integration coach will allow you to deepen your understanding of your psychedelic experience.

Your coach can help you navigate the difficult task of merging the grandeur of the psychedelic experience with the ordinariness of daily life.

With psychedelic integration coaching, you will be able to maintain the positive benefits of the experience, and even integrate challenging or intrusive thoughts and feelings.

Through working with a psychedelic integration coach, you will learn how to:

  • Affirm your insights and derive actionable steps to manifest the existence you want to be living

  • Trust your intuition and “Inner Healing Intelligence”

  • Reduce potential harms

  • Maximize psychological and physical benefits from the experience

  • Maintain changes and resist falling backward into unhelpful or self-destructive patterns

If you choose to work with psychedelics for your mental health, spiritual growth, or enjoyment of life, it is best to reduce the risks and maximize the benefits by working with a professional psychedelic integration coach.

You are an explorer, and you represent our species. And the greatest good you can do is to bring back a new idea, because our world is in danger by the absence of good ideas. Our world is in crisis because of the absence of consciousness. And so to whatever degree any one of us can bring back a small piece of the picture and contribute it to the building of the new paradigm, then we participate in the redemption of the human spirit, and that, after all, is what it’s really all about.

Life Coaching in Portland, OR

If you continue to do what you’ve always done, you’ll continue to be what you’ve always been.

Every week, we will meet one-on-one for a focused 60 minute coaching session.

Your coaching sessions will be spent getting in touch with the person you want to be and the person who you are today, relative to who you want to be. Together, we will determine how to best leverage your strengths to continuously close the gaps between the two. Through this process, over time, you will become who you want to be.

We will collaborate on a change agenda that will act as your map and compass to move you ever closer to your vision. Through this agenda you will learn how to build on your strengths while reducing your gaps.

By experimenting with new behaviors, you will learn what works for you and what doesn’t. By implementing the behaviors that work, you will begin to transform. Once these worthwhile behaviors become habit, you have succeeded in becoming who you want to be.

Sounds simple, doesn’t it?

The truth is, there is no shortcut to transformative change. It is an ongoing process that requires attention and determination. Thankfully, having a dedicated life coach keeps you motivated, accountable, and appropriately challenged, and this makes you far more likely to succeed.

If it seems like that’s a lot to fit into a 60 minute coaching session once a week, we understand. That’s why all of our coaching tracks come with unlimited access to your life coach between coaching sessions. That means that any time you need a motivational boost, a question answered, a confidant’s counsel, or an ear to bend, your coach is there for you, as often as you need.

Coaching is a hugely beneficial modality for transformation, but changing behavior takes time and determination. Based on our experience with this work, we’ve come to know that transformative growth occurs with dedicated activation over a minimum of 6 months. Of course, the longer you stay at it, the more success you will find.

That said, we don’t want you to have to rely on coaching for years and years. Our intent is to help you take control of your own life. We are here to provide you with the tools and the motivation so that you can become your own coach and keep yourself on track wherever you end up going.
